Students Council

Here, in al Maha Academy, we strive to involve our stakeholders in school life and for that purpose we have formed a Student Council Committee. Members of the council were elected by the students and the process is facilitated by two members of staff.

Our vision is to support the students and develop their leadership skills.

The Student Council aims to help the students express their opinions and concerns.

The Student Council is a student-led committee under the support and leadership of Mrs Marwa Hafez and Mrs Fida Nasr. Mrs Marwa and Mrs Fida will meet with the student council committee once a week to listen to their ideas and arrange special events. Tasks are divided amongst the committee members.

The Student Council consists of a president, a vice president and four different committees. Each committee has a different responsibility around the school.

The Student Council Committees:

The committee are as follows:

Media Committee  is in charge of taking photographs and conducting interviews with students, advertising and writing articles about the events.

Social Committee  works on socialising with the students, listening to their needs and passing their input to the school principal.

Cultural Committee  arranges contests and plays. They are also in charge of organising special Islamic events, like Eid al Fitr and al Adha.

Sports Committee  works alongside the PE department to ensure that the students are safe and have all that they need for PE as well. Once a year the sports committee arranges the events of the sports day.
