The Secondary department at AMAG welcomes all parents and their daughters back to school hoping that they had an enjoyable and restful summer vacation. The secondary department strongly believes that a line of open communication is a key factor in creating fruitful seeds of learning. This can be accomplished with the support and cooperation of the parents. Staying organized and punctuality are essential for a students’ success. We are confident that your daughter will take full advantage of all that the secondary department is going to offer.

AS & IGCSE Level

AMAG follows the AS and IGCSE level.

Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level course is a one year course, where most of the subjects consist of three units. All AMAG students will study four subjects at AS with critical thinking or enrichment lessons which augment in preparation for university studies.

The General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) is an examination which is taken at the end of Key Stage 4 by pupils in England and Wales. It is the standard qualification for pupils aged 14 to 16 years old. The equivalent examination taken by pupils in an international context is the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) because it allows pupils in countries throughout the world to gain a British qualification that is globally recognized.
