It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to you as Principal of Al Maha Academy for Girls.
Our mission statement, “An excellent internationally recognised education with Islamic identity”, defines us at Al Maha Academy for Girls. We are a school that provides the very best opportunities for our students to develop, grow and mature into young adults. Thus allowing our graduates to become life long learners and global citizens. Whilst we have high expectations and ambitions for our students, we also know that for them to succeed, we need to provide a caring, supportive and challenging environment in which they can grow and flourish.
At times schools are seen as places where students learn, teachers teach and reports are produced at the end of the year. And yet, of course, an education is so much more. We aim to spark curiosity within our students and teachers, which motivates and drives teaching & learning. Doing so, by giving equal weight to academic, Islamic Values and creative aspects in the personal development of everyone in our care. Put simply, through our Tarbeya Programme that is embedded throughout our school, we aim to ensure that every individual student makes a positive difference not only in their own lives; but also in the lives of others.
We want to truly educate our students so that a graduate of Al Maha Academy for Girls is a well-rounded human being, capable of making the most of what life has to offer. We believe that our unique curriculum – will allow students to embrace and showcase their many skills and achievements.
On behalf of everyone at Al Maha Academy for Girls, I very much look forward to welcoming you to our school and meeting you in the not too distant future.
